AnaMary Bilbao (Lisbon, 1986) studied Painting and Cinema / Moving image at Ar.Co and is a PhD student in Artistic Studies – Art and Mediations (FCSH – Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Birkbeck – University of London | FCT).
In 2019 was nominated for the 13th Edition of EDP Foundation’s New Artists Award. In 2014 Bilbao was distinguished as Young Visual Artist by CPAI – Clube Português de Artes e Ideias.
Bilbao presented the solo shows Lighted by a Searing Light at Travessa da Ermida (2019); O último brilho da estrela que morre at UMA LULIK__ (2018); Fallacious Memory at Caroline Pagès Gallery (2014) and Presente passado at Boavista Gallery (2013).
